NEW DELHI: The BCCI announced Friday that the IPL Live 2023 opener in Ahmedabad will see the four-time champions, Gujarat Titans, taking on the Chennai Super Kings.

The tournament’s 16th edition Ipl 2023 will begin on March 31. The last league match will take place on May 21.

During the league phase, all 10 franchises will play 7 matches at home and 7 games away.

The board announced that 70 league matches will occur and 18 double headers will include. The league matches will take place at 12 venues over 52 days.

The summit clash will take place on May 28, with the venues and schedule for the Playoffs & Final to announce later. Evening matches will start at 7:30 PM IST, while afternoon matches on the second day of double headers will start at 3:30 PM IST.

The afternoon game in Mohali will see the Punjab Kings take on Kolkata Knight Riders, while the evening game will see Lucknow Super Giants taking on Delhi Capitals. This will be the first double-header in the season.

On Sunday, April 2, the blockbuster of the evening will feature heavyweights Royal Challengers Bangalore versus five-time champions Mumbai Indians.

All 10 teams will be active during the first three days.

“Rajasthan Royals’ first two home matches will be in Guwahati before they play the rest of their home games at Jaipur. The board released a statement saying that Punjab Kings will play five home matches at Mohali. Then they will play their final two home matches at Dharamshala against Delhi Capitals or Rajasthan Royals.
